New Prescription Charge - 1st May 2024

The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) has announced from 1st May 2024, the NHS prescription charge will increase to £9.90 per prescription item (note: some items may incur more than one charge).

The cost of a prepayment certificate will also increase with the price of a three-month PPC at £32.05 and a 12-month PPC at £114.50.

▶ Please remember this is NOT a payment to the pharmacy, it is given to the Government as a contribution to the NHS.
