Swettenham Chemists recently welcomed Mick Whitley MP for Birkenhead, to our Rock Ferry branch. Dawn Swettenham, Superintendent Pharmacist and Ben Jones Pharmacist Manager discussed with Mick the challenges facing Community Pharmacies which include funding for pharmacy, supply of medicines and workforce shortages. We explained about the new Pharmacy First, Blood pressure testing and Pharmacy Contraception services which are now benefiting patients but also we discussed the concerns about the increasing pressure being placed on our teams due to the lack of government support.
